Meet Dr. Cenedese

Dr. Luis Cenedese attended public schools in Brooklyn, NY. Valedictorian in junior high school and graduating at the top of his class at Lafayette High School he was awarded a scholarship to attend Columbia University's Columbia College. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree in three years he was awarded a full scholarship and admission to the M.D. Ph.D. program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. It was there that his interest in plastic surgery began. As a student rotating in the Kings County Hospital Plastic Surgery Service his exposure to major maxillo-facial trauma, caring for burn victims at the Burn Center and reconstruction of congenital defects in children inspired him to compete for a position in the field of Plastic Surgery.

His exemplary record in the surgical departments allowed him to be elected for internship and residency at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. During the 1980's in Beth Medical Center he specialized in plastic surgery, both reconstructive and cosmetic. After completion of his four year surgical residency and upon recommendation of his chairman, he was chosen to complete his Plastic Surgical training at the Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. He was fortunate to experience three years of extensive work in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and thereby was elected Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery. Dr. Cenedese completed a post graduate fellowship at the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia prior to starting a private practice in Manhattan. He has been the director of the Institute Beaute d'Arts, a fully accredited ambulatory Plastic Surgery Center.

Dr. Cenedese's personality and demeanor make him easy to talk to. He exhibits great pride in his work as well as deep empathy for his patients. His constant refining of technique, search for new approaches and learning of tolerance for the benefit of his patients have developed a loyal following.
